NYMEX Energy covers North American energy futures — crude oil benchmarks, refined products and natural gas — traded on NYMEX within the CME Group complex.
The energy complex includes the WTI crude oil benchmark, Henry Hub natural gas, and refined products such as heating oil and RBOB gasoline. Each contract has its own specifications, session and market context.
WTI Crude is the North American light-sweet crude benchmark. Understanding which benchmark a headline or chart refers to — and that benchmarks are not interchangeable — is basic crude-market literacy. See the WTI versus Brent explainer.
Energy futures trade in defined sessions. Trading hours and holiday schedules change, so confirm the current schedule on the official exchange source before planning around a session.
